A Home, A Soap Factory, and then a Veterinarian
Nestled in the heart of San Antonio, our building has a rich and vibrant community history!
City Veterinary Hospital was at one time a residential home. It was built in the 1860’s by a Dutch immigrant and is unique in this area for its traditional Netherlands architectural style. The foundation was built with a strengthening wall around the entire exterior that extends 9 feet deep into the earth! Stacked on top of that wall are blocks of Caliche natural clay, a very uncommon material for this area.
Whether you have a new puppy, you have just moved into the area or are simply looking for a new Veterinary Home, the staff at City Veterinary Hospital can’t wait to meet you and care for your pet as if she were our own.
In the Community
As the first Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, we have spent a long time getting to our community. We love getting out of the clinic and spending time with our fellow San Antonians!Learn More
